The quotes above are just a very few written by fans and those from the music industry about the on-line music magazine, ISPYSOUL.COM during its run from 2000-2005. Over this time the site was viewed and visited by literally hundreds of thousands worldwide and considered by many as one of the most notable early platforms for in particular the independent soul scene. It was incredibly rewarding to know that a vision, both humble and sincere, could be seen and acclaimed in this way.
This represents a more modest version of ISPYSOUL sharing some treasured profile pieces that were featured on ISPYSOUL.COM during its initial run and bringing you up to date with what those artists have done since. Some of these will even feature brand new interviews with the artists where you’ll get to hear from them personally about what they’ve been up to. It’s my LOOK BACK AT THE SOUL SEEN! It was great to revisit these profiles pieces and was a real joy to see the moves these talented artists have made since. Many of them have become very recognizable names on the music landscape, but if somehow they have still escaped your knowledge well lets just say you’re in for a treat! Who knows, from time to time I might even share some info about some new artists, projects and more I think you may enjoy. Because, well, I SPY SOUL!
